Roberta Kritzia, artist, lecturer & art instructor hails from an artistic family background of illustrators & painters. For the past 31 years she has spent her time, each year, painting, sketching & photographing throughout Europe. Roberta, along with her husband Henry, do extensive research for their yearly "on location" in Europe sketching & shop-til-you-drop tours. For the past 18 years they have worked with Glenn Vilppu, internationally noted art instructor, in designing and conducting his yearly trips to Europe.
Roberta Kritzia's paintings can be found in the collections of: Marcel Marceau Foundation, France, The Swatch Corporation, Switzerland, The Jonathan Club, Los Angeles, The California Club, Los Angeles, The Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel, Pasadena, The Walt Disney Corporation, Toluca Lake and The Nippon Steel Corporation, Japan.
Kritzia's philosophy on "being and artist" has taken physical form in her weekly art studio workshops in Cave Creek, Arizona. She says "artistic people, at a certain stage in the their career, have had enough art classes." So, she has set forth an environment for artists to work in and produce fine art while emphasizing drawing & composition.
The yearly tours to Europe have given me an opportunity to combine, on our itineraries, my favorite activities ... sketching & painting on location, Shop-Till-You-Drop, photographing little known locations, tasting local cuisines & scoping out unique experiences for our travelers.
